Iranian film ‘Driving Lessons’ directed by Marzieh Riahi is set to partake in the 59th annual Cartagena Film Festival (Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias) or FICCI in Colombia.

The short film will be competing with four other films from around the world for the festival’s International Shorts award which will be held on March 6-11.

Written by Marjan Riahi, the film’s cast will be made up of actors Linda Kiani, Alireza Thanifar, Salar Khamseh and Sanaz Mesbah.

The film will also be competing at the 49th Tampere Film Festival in Finland which will be held in the same week from March 6-10.

Founded in 1959 by Victor Nieto, FICCI is Latin America’s oldest film festival held annually in the coastal city of Cartagena, Colombia in the Caribbean.

The festival’s main focus is the promotion of Colombian Series and Latin American films, although it has expanded its borders and set the stage for the creative liberties of filmmakers from around the world.
